Lit Quiz

On Thursday the 18th of August, 2 Lit Quiz teams went and competed in a quiz. They had to read 6 picture books and 6 chapter books. The names of the teams were The Bold Ship Ōpāwa and The 6 Stars of Opawa. The Bold Ship Opawa got 14th and The Six Stars got 8th. Also, The Bold Ship Ōpāwa got runner-up in the flag competition. What is happning at the moment at Opawa School

                                  Cantburys

Well done to Harvey for going to the Canterbury Cross Country Champs on Wednesday last week and coming 84th place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                   Choir               

On Tuesday the 28th of June Osher performed in the Junior Choir at the Arora Centre of Preforming Arts. The theme was 'Take the Lead'. Opawa School's songs were 'Build Me Up Butter Cup' and 'Que Sera'. Everyone did very well!!!!!!!!!

Just a reminder Gilby in  r00m 14 is collecting food and blankets. He will be doing it until the end of the term.

Science Alive

On Monday Astrid came from Science Alive came to teach us about Forensics.

We sampled our fingerprints with an ink pad
.

We also wore glasses to protect our eyes. It was uncomfortable at first but we go used to them.
